About us

We make industrial service simpler, more structured and more effective.

Transaction-Network GmbH & Co. KG is based in Gottmadingen on Lake Constance, Germany, and was founded in 2021 by Gerd Bart. We bring machines from many manufacturers into one account, so maintenance teams, machine builders and material suppliers work on the same case.

Why we exist

It all starts with an email. Then come the follow-up questions. Then the coordination. Then the downtime.

I built manufacturer portals. That's how I know where they end.

Gerd Bart comes from digital retail: he built e-commerce for retail brands and knows how online shops and marketplaces sell. At Sybit, an SAP consultancy, he was responsible for the strategies of its machine-builder clients as Solution Principal Digital Business. Together with Markus Jäckle and Matthias Maier, he developed customer portals for leading machine builders there, including myBühler, MyMULTIVAC and KHS Connect. Along the way he saw what a manufacturer's portal cannot solve on its own: a plant runs machines from many manufacturers, and each one comes with its own portal. In 2021 he founded Transaction-Network so that every machine fits into one account.

Our vision

Every machine is connected to everyone who keeps it running, whatever brand it is.

When a machine in your plant stops, the search begins: for the manual, for the hotline number, for the right part. Every manufacturer has its own portal for that. We bring all machines and all manufacturers into one account. Then everyone knows right away what's wrong, who can help and which part is missing.

What we stand for

  • Machines run. Companies deliver.

Service needs order so that machines keep running and companies can deliver. Every hour of downtime we cut counts.

  • Service only works together.

Plant operators, machine builders and suppliers work from the same foundation. We are neutral and open to everyone who keeps a machine running.

  • From the field, for people.

We come from service in machine building. Our technology, AI included, has one goal: take load off people, keep machines available, secure deliveries.

  • The courage to change.

We leave old habits behind: email, Excel and hotline ping-pong. A clear process achieves more than any improvisation.

How it works

Every party keeps its own system. Transaction-Network connects them.

Machine builders bring their portals, ERP and field service, plant operators their MES and ERP, material suppliers their ERP. Transaction-Network connects them into one network: one access, one process, one shared data space.

Overview: machine builders with portal, ERP and field service on the left, Transaction-Network in the middle, plant operators with MES and ERP and material suppliers with ERP on the right; below one common access, one common process and one common data space.

Committed to open standards

Transaction-Network is a member of the Industrial Digital Twin Association (IDTA) and actively contributes to developing open standards for the digital twin. The Asset Administration Shell creates a vendor-neutral framework that enables interoperability between machines, systems and companies. For us, one thing is clear: digitalization in the industrial mid-market can only succeed if data can be exchanged between systems freely, in a structured way and to a standard.

My conviction as CEO

“The digital twin must not be a proprietary construct of individual vendors. It has to be an open, interoperable standard that connects machine builders, operators and partners rather than separating them. Only then does a real industrial ecosystem emerge that accelerates innovation and redefines collaboration.”
